  • Sunday Funnies – John Lennon Tub Scene From A Hard Days Night

       Hard Days Night is my favorite Beatles movie simply because it seems so fresh and carefree. This is one of my favorite scenes in the movie with John Lennon horsing around with toy submarines in the bathtub. He just cracks me up doing all the funny voices and generally goofing off.        I don’t know whether to laugh or be scared when I watch this parody of the Katy Perry song “I Kissed A Girl”. This parody is by YouTube user VenetianPrincess and it’s called the “Elderly Remix”. I guess it’s funny, that’s why it’s on the Live Musician Central Sunday Funnies!   (more…)

  • Sunday Funnies – Family Guy, Stewie Writes A Song

       Okay being a songwriter myself, this song by none other than Stewie Griffin, really cracked me up. If you write songs it’s easy to relate to following the sound of the chord changes while writing lyrical content. Minor chords suggest sad lyrics, or troubled lyrics while major chords suggest happy and upbeat lyrics. It’s pretty funny watching Stewie hack out a song while explaining major and minor chord changes as well as  tempo manipulation. All common songwriting techniques.

  • Sunday Funnies – William Hung “She Bangs” Audition and Video

       William Hung, just his name makes me laugh! It’s like a porn stars name… But talk about an unlikely celebrity. For today’s Sunday Funnies I’m posting up the original William Hung American Idol audition video so you see what kicked off his 15 minutes of fame. It’s an audition so bad that you just can’t ignore the poor guy.

       I’m also posting up the music video that William Hung made to go with his studio recording of “She Bangs”. It totally cracks me up because William hates being touched and it’s funny to watch him pull away from all these beautiful women in the video. The “give me my backpack” scene at the end of the video is hilarious too. Enjoy!        (more…)

       I though this was a pretty funny side by side comparison of Michael Jackson’s video for “Bad” and Weird Al Yankovic’s video for “Fat”.  The music running simultaneously is kind of irritating but it’s really funny to watch what Wierd Al did with the parody of the original video.    (more…)

  • Sunday Funnies – The Ultimate Showdown

       It’s really interesting what people will spend their time and creative energies creating. Today I’m putting up a funny song with a video titled “The Ultimate Showdown”. It’s fascinating because these guys took the time to write and record the song as well as animate the whole thing.

       It’s funny, kind of, but it’s even more funny because it’s just not that great. I got a chuckle or two out of it but it did leave me scratching my head and thinking “why?”. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it!    (more…)

  • Sunday Funnies – Stupid Alien Let’s Fan Slaughter Iron Man On The Guitar

       The Stupid Alien is a New York City street performer who has some serious skills on the electric guitar. In this video clip he let’s a passerby take his guitar to play “Iron Man” by Black Sabbath. The guest guitarist proceeds to suck big time on his rendition of the song.

       I think it’s pretty cool of The Stupid Alien to surrender his axe to a wannabe guitarist so kudos to Stupid Alien. As for the guy destroying “Iron Man”, dude, if you suck that badly then don’t borrow a guys guitar to show him how horrible you are! Just say, “Yeah, I play a little!” and just walk away.    (more…)

       Okay, it’s kinda sick but it’s funny as hell too. Belly Bongo Bo uses an instrument he grew on his body, his belly, as a bongo drum. So there’s hope for all the fat guys that can’t seem to find an instrument to play in the band. Watch and learn fella’s….     (more…)
