As you know, I use the Fender Cyber-Twin SE amplifier in my live band and in the recording studio. I’ve spent many hours programming and perfecting my own custom patches for the presets on my Cyber-Twin SE. One feature that I love about the Cyber-Twin SE is the ability to transmit and store the presets to my computer as MIDI system exclusive data. That gives me a permanent backup of all my custom presets just in case anything happens to my amplifier. All my hours of programming aren’t lost if something catastrophic should happen.
Today I’m going to offer for download, two of my custom presets that I programmed.
These presets are in MIDI exclusive format so all you have to do is send a system exclusive message to your Cyber-Twin SE and you will be able to save the preset to whatever number you choose and then you’ll have it. I have created a very easy to follow How-To tutorial for using MIDI Sysex data to save and load presets to and from your Fender Cyber-Twin SE. Just click this link to read the tutorial and get the free software: How To Save And Load Presets On Your Fender Cyber-Twin SE With Free Winjammer Software.
So here is the first of two custom Cyber-Twin SE patch presets for you. This one is simply titled “LMC Roar” and it’s a high gain British Tone Stack placed Post-Distortion. I’ve also added Overdrive and Tape Echo to this preset for extreme amounts of gain. I use the Cyber-Foot Controller and have assigned the left expression pedal to control Amplifier gain. I also use a second external expression pedal plugged into the jack in the back of the amp and have assigned Overdrive Gain to that pedal. So you can have excellent realtime control of your gain settings. Here is a sound sample of LMC Roar:

The second Cyber-Twin SE preset I’m bringing you today is called “LMC Warm Rain” and it’s a warm, clean amplifier tone with some chorus and echo. It’s a Blackface tone stack which is inserted pre-distortion. The preset also has some reverb in it and it sounds killer played on a Fender Stratocaster neck pickup. I recorded the sound sample on my Jeff Beck Signature Stratocaster neck pickup.

I hope you get some mileage out of these presets. I’ve used them at quite a few gigs and on a lot of my recordings as well. I have more of my custom presets available for free download on my main Fender Cyber-Twin SE Amplifer Preset Downloads page.
